Over the last month, we have been delivering our Red Flag roadshows across Cheshire and Merseyside.
We have been to places we have been before and seen old friends. We have also been to some places we have never been before and hopefully made some new ones.
We started our tour in Southport at New Directions North Hub, this was our first and the trainers did really well.
Then it was into Liverpool to PPS Making days North in Rice Lane, this was well attended and people really got involved.
Next was United Response at Oakfield Day Service here we met some old friends; it was great to see them.
We were off on our travels to Warrington next to meet Warrington Speak Up, we really enjoyed this roadshow people were really keen to take part and were very engaging.
We continued our tour closer to home in New Directions South Hub at Dunningsbridge, and then it was back on unfamiliar ground as we travelled to Halton Speak Out. They are based in Runcorn, and are a self-advocacy group just like People First Merseyside it was a lovely group we met some amazing people.
we then travelled to New Creations in Netherton to deliver our roadshow to some of our friends in Sefton. Finally, we travelled to an amazing place called Walton Lea Partnership. This was a challenge as there were lots of people in a very small room however this didn’t stop us and the roadshow was amazing the trainers did a great job of making it work and the audience made it so much fun. We were then given a tour of the whole site where they do Gardening and Craft and even have a shop to sell the things they make.
If this wasn’t enough there is more it was back to our old stomping ground when we visited PSS Making Days South Women’s Group based at Bridge Chapel we got a very warm welcome from lots of old friends, they said that the training was excellent and they really enjoyed it.
Delivering the Roadshows has been so much fun we have had amazing feedback.» Back to News
