On Friday the HLF funded Advocacy Story Steering Group had some training to help them with the project.
The training was about oral history which is where you interview someone about their life story. The training was delivered by Andrew Schofield who is an oral historian.
Andrew taught us about how to use the recording equipment so that we can record the interviews that we do. We will then be able to put a copy of the recording in the archive at Liverpool Records Office. The archive will look after the recordings so in the future people will be able to listen to them.
Andrew also taught us about the types of questions we should ask in our interviews. Then we had a go at interviewing each other.
Everyone did a great job and we’re all looking forward to interviewing some of our old members. If you would like to be interviewed please contact Holly on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0151 707 6751» Back to News
