Health First Sefton held another roadshow at the Strand By Me Shop, in Bootle shopping centre today.
We joined in with Radio Merseyside’s celebration of 50 years of the Beatles Sgt Pepper Album. We all sang the song “When I’m 64”. There were over 30 choirs across Merseyside all doing the same thing at the same time. We all had copies of the words and people joined in singing with the British Lung Foundation Breathe Easy Campaign. This organisation supports people with breathing problems. You can find more information on their website www.blf.org.uk. It was great fun and we are all looking forward to seeing the film that was made.
We had a special visitor the Mayor of Sefton, Dave Robinson. He sang along with us and stayed afterwards to answer our questions and tell us about what the mayor does and learn about People First Merseyside. It was great to meet him and we hope he can come and visit our office one day.
The Sefton Health Champions continued having their monthly mentoring sessions with Debbie, a Wellbeing Mentor and set new monthly goals for their personal health too.
We are back here tomorrow if you want to drop in and see us for information about how to be healthy and a healthy snack!» Back to News
