Sefton Health champions have had a busy time since New Year and have been working hard on using new materials around hand hygiene and dental health messages. The champions have also been getting everything ready for new roadshows to students at Hugh Baird College in February. The champions were joined by a new member, Rachel and she has made a great start .
Rachel said,”I have really enjoyed seeing the new hand hygiene games and loved the spin wheel quiz. I have learned loads and I am going to take the health messages home to read up on them”.
Phil said” I have practiced leading the quiz and feel ready to put into the new roadshows”.
Health champions used the pretend germs and practiced their hand washing techniques. People were surprised how many pretend germs were still on their hands after they had washed them. Sarah said,”I am amazed there is still some germs after I had washed my hands”.
Paul Ching said, ” It really suprises me that you need to wash you hands for about 30 seconds”.
After the planning sessions, some of the champions continued their efforts to improve their fitness and attended a boccia class- great fun!!
