Health Champions at The Bridge

On Tuesday 24th January Liverpool Health Champions were invited by Sue Carson to the Bridge Community Centre’s Health Event  in Broadway to deliver our latest roadshow .  There were lots of other agencies at the event.  We had our information stall displaying all of our Health stories and key health messages.

We spoke to lots of people and gave out lots of leaflets.  Geraldine, Tracy and Anna delivered the Roadshow to over 50 people at the event.  We spoke about what we had learnt on our Health Champions course.  Anna read out her story about cutting out alcohol and how it had improved her  health.

We used the beer goggles and played the ‘ball and bucket’ game.  Lots of people were keen to have a go and joined in, including Graham the cute French Bulldog puppy.  The ladies beat the gents hands down!

Geraldine said “I had a great day, I loved doing the presentation at the roadshow.  It was great to tell so many people what we had learned.”

Anna said “I was nervous about telling my story but I really enjoyed myself, everyone listened and clapped when I finished.  It made me feel so proud of myself.”

Patrick said “It was really good going out and seeing all the people at the event, we should do more.”

We are hoping that people will spread the word about People First Merseyside and our Health First Liverpool project.  We want to go and do more roadshows.
