The Sefton Group of People First Merseyside have a really important job to represent people with learning disabilities at meetings across Sefton.
Today Lesley Curran and Anthony Peck attended the Sefton Health and Social Care Forum. This is a meeting for Voluntary Community and Faith groups to come together to find out what is happening in Health and Social care.
This meeting is a chance for us to meet with other organisations who work with different types of people some work with older people, some work with those who have mental health problems, some who work with people who are recovering from substance misuse and many others.
Todays meeting was a little bit different today we worked in groups to look at the forum itself, what we liked about it and what could be improved. Anthony and Lesley made suggestions that were fed back to the group these would help to make the forum better in the future.
Today was also the chairperson Roger Driver’s last meeting before he moves back to Dorset with his family.» Back to News
