Although it is proving to be cold, cold, cold! We are having a fab, fab time!
Every Friday members of the Road Ahead are going to Walton Hall Park to improve our cycling skills with Bike Right Cycling Project and Active Me.
This week Mel took us through the “M” check, before we got on the bikes we had to check our front wheels, the nuts and tyres, then the instructors how to check our brakes, we looked over our chain, checked our seat and then the back tyre. It is important we are safe before we start!
Lewis came along for the first time this week and it has been a long time since he rode a bike, so he decided to build his confidence by going on the trike first and said “It was brilliant. I was a bit nervous at first but it was great and the low rider is fantastic as it goes really fast. I can’t wait for next week.”
Jeanette took a bit of a tumble – but was still smiling and in one piece and Lisa although exhausted was determined to keep up and keep going.
