This morning members of the Road Ahead Group went to St George’s Plateau to pay our respects to all of the men and women who have served our country.
The Weeping Window Poppies that are displayed outside St George’s Hall are spectacular and there were hundreds of people there to pay their respects and observe the 2 minute silence.
Kat said “There were some school children singing after the 2 minute silence and everyone was really respectful and thinking about all the soldiers who have died.”
Adam said “It was great, it was good that we went over to be involved.”
Kyle said “It really opened my eyes up to my generation – I thought that they were all on their phones and not paying attention and it was great to see lots of young people there and everyone being respectful. It was great to be a part of the day.”
