On Monday 2nd November the HealthFirst Liverpool Group was represented at the Dying Well Community Charter Group.
The Dying Well Community Charter tells us that dying and death are still quite a taboo subject and our aim is to take a lead managing the implementation of the Dying Well Community Charter to all of the core partner organisations across health and social care and community settings. This is a copy of the Dying Well Community Charter – please take the time to read it and sign up! dying well community charter
We want to make sure that organisations in Liverpool sign up to the Dying Well Charter and include it in their policies and practises.
We want to improve the lives and care that people receive at the end of their lives – and the support and care for people’s families.
The group is made of people from lots of different organisations and we talked about our contacts and who we can talk to about the Dying Well Community Charter and get people to support it and sign up to it and to work together to make death something that people feel more comfortable talking about death and dying.
Our next meeting is Monday 30th November – please let us know if you’ve signed up to the Dying Well Community Charter and lets break this final taboo together.» Back to News
