On Wednesday 9th September 2015, 10am – 1pm we will be holding our AGM in Goddard Hall. It will be a fantastic event where we:
- Hear the reports from our groups about the work they have been doing over the past year
- Have awards to recognise our members hard work and achievements
- Hold Elections for New Directors
The elections are a really important part of the day. This year we need to elect 5 new Directors; 3 from Liverpool and 2 from Sefton.
To get people thinking about the role of a director we had a meeting today in the office where we talked about:
- What a Director is
- Our individual skills
- The skills a Director needs to have.
It was a great meeting and people who are interested in joining the Board were able to meet current Directors. We learnt that being a Director is hard work, there are lots of big decisions to be made about money, staff and offices. The meetings can be quite long and boring but they are very important. Everyone who has been on the Board said they feel a real sense of achievement once they have given it a go.
We have a few people who are going to stand in the elections at the AGM, some who have never done it before. Good luck to everyone!
Everyone is welcome to come to the AGM, we hope to see you there on the day.
