On Thursday 16th July we held our 2nd coffee morning at the Hunger Control Cafe here in the MPAC Building where we are based. The atmosphere is fabulous and we are always made to feel welcome by Richard and his team.
Our guest today was Chris Moss who is going to run an art group here on a weekly basis to improve people’s health and wellbeing and to express advocacy using art. Chris spoke to our members and what sort of things people enjoy doing.
Geraldine said “I love painting.”
Lisa said “I prefer writing poetry.”
Paul said “I like drawing – we could do two hands joined and the world.”
We looked at some things that Chris had prepared and examples of art she has done in the past. People came up with ideas and Chris is going to look at ways we can incorporate the things everyone was saying. It is going to be fantastic.
Thank you so much to our friends at Oakfield Day Service for coming along – it was lovely to catch up and find out what everyone is up to – there is so many great things going on around the City for people.
Our next coffee morning will be Thursday 13th August – everyone is welcome. To find out more call 0151 707 6751.» Back to News
