Qwerkies – We Are The Same But Different!

The Road Ahead and HealthFirst Liverpool have been working with In Another Place for a year now.  It started with the Giants on the Canal project, followed by being involved with their Gospel Choir, then The Secret At Christmas.  Since then our members have been in to schools and involved in the Cardboard People Project “The Same But Different”  explores and celebrates our differences – tall/short, large/slim, male/female – whilst acknowledging our common need to be loved and accepted! Lisa Frith said “It’s been great, I’ve loved being involved and enjoy going into schools and doing the assemblies. We all love being at In Another Place and all the different things we get to try and do.”

Our members are involved in the latest In Another Place project which is making Cardboard People called Qwerkies which will become part of a trail around Crosby and the surrounding areas. They will make them through workshops in schools and with local artists and it is going to amazing.  Our members have been working very hard in all aspects of the preparation and are really excited to be involved as it is new and exciting!

Watch this space and get along to Crosby this summer to see the Qwerkies! They have their very own facebook page too!
