On Wednesday 22nd April 2015 we had our 1st session of the Road Ahead training. This is training for adults with a learning disability aged 18-30 delivered by our peer educators – other adults with a learning disability aged 18 – 30. We have a team of 6 peer educators and our 1st session was delivered by MB and LS.
It was great to meet all the new people on the course and at the beginning of the day we all felt a bit nervous and worried and by the end of the session everyone was much more confident and looking forward to next week!
This week we talked about ourselves and found out what people enjoy doing in their lives, their hobbies, their families and what is important to them. It was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who attended and thank you to our fabulous peer educators!
